In the period 1991-2002, there were 17 nationwide piano courses and 1 international one led by Alexei Orlovetsky - an outstanding artist and teacher from St Petersburg, Russia.
Allmost 600 Polish teachers, students, and pupils, as well as a few foreign pianist had the opportunity to benefit from exceptional knowledge, artistic sensitivity and pianistic experience of Alexei Orlovetsky.
Most of the courses were organised in co-operation with the R. Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wroclaw, and with financial and organisational help from the Artistic Education Centre in Warsaw. All the courses were organised and run by Juliusz Adamowski. The classes were translated by Zbigniew Faryniarz, the pianos were prepared by Stefan Pilcer (pianotuner).

13th Nationwide Piano Course by Alexei Orlovetsky
11-15 March 2002

The thirteen annual piano course for teachers and students of primary and secondary music school took place at the concert hall of the R. Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wroclaw. It was led by Alexei Orlovetsky. The course was organised by the F. Liszt Society in co-operation with the Music School. The financial and organisational help was coming from the Artistic Education Centre in Warsaw. Juliusz Adamowski was the director of the course.
Fifty-three teachers and 12 pupils from over 30 schools from 27 towns and cities participated in the course. The open classes took about 10 hours a day.
The course was closed by the participants' concert followed by the handing of diplomas.
Alexei Orlovetsky also performed piano recitals in Brzeg, Oborniki Slaskie and Wroclaw. It was already the 12th series of his recitals in Poland. This time, Mr Orlovetsky played Chopin's Sonata B manor op. 58, Schumann's Carnaval and Franck's Choral A manor in his own transcription.

12th Nationwide Piano Course by Alexei Orlovetsky

The 12th Nationwide Piano Course by Alexei Orlovetsky was held in the concert hall of the State R. Bukowski Secondary Music School in Wroc³aw. This annual piano course for teachers and pupils of primary and secondary music schools was led by the outstanding artist and educator from St Petersburg - Alexei Orlovetsky.
85 teachers and 30 pupils declared their willingness to participate in the course. Finally, 75 teachers and 20 pupils from a few dozen of schools in 35 towns in Poland took part in it. Within the scope of 40 classes open for public, and rehearsals for concerts, Orlovetsky, not for the first time, impressed everyone with his pedagogic skills. 19 pupils prepared very rich and diverse repertoire.
Eight of them performed in an open concert that was held at the end of the course. They played works by Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, Tchaikovski, Rachmaninoff and Faure (cycle “Dolly” for 4 hands). The concert was followed by the handing of diplomas of active participation in the course. The course was given relatively wide press and local television coverage.

10th Nationwide Piano Course by Alexei Orlovetsky
3-9 March 1999

The 10th annual piano course for teachers and pupils of Music Schools (primary and secondary ones) took place in Wroclaw in March 3-9, 1999. It was led by Alexei Orlovetsky - the outstanding artist and pedagogue from Sankt Petersburg. The course was organised by the F. Liszt Society in Poland in co-operation with the State R. Bukowski Secondary School of Music in Wroc3aw and with financial assistance of the Artistic Education Centre in Warsaw. Juliusz Adamowski was the director of the course.
Over 50 pedagogues and pupils from 20 towns and cities in Poland participated in the course. Alexei Orlovetsky, during 42 open classes (two classes with each student), again showed ways of working over interpretation and of solving technical problems. 21 pupils from several regions of the country prepared very rich repertoire consisting of pieces from baroque to the contemporary music. Some classes, due to the range of repertoire and level of the pianists' advance lasted 2-3 hours. Alexei Orlovetsky not for the first time impressed us all with his artistic individuality, professionalism and the skill of knowledge transmission and of instilling sensitivity and with his pianistic and pedagogic experience.
Among many classes, some of them really fixed in the memory of the auditors, especially interpretations of F. Chopin's E-moll Concerto and 12 etudes op.10, Sonata B-moll and "Rigoletto" of F. Liszt, Sonata A-moll KV 310 of W.A. Mozart and Preludes of C. Debussy.
The concert of the active participants was held at the end of the course. The audition especially enjoyed the performance of F. Liszt's Sonata B-moll and "Rigoletto" by Natalia Sawoœcianik (her professor - Aleksandra Utrecht, Music School in Poznañ) and C. Debussy's "L'isle joyeuse" by Jan Janicki (pupil of Janina Butor, Music School in Wroc³aw).
