In over 800 concerts held so far, above
460 performers from 27 countries took part (some of them played many
times), including 259 pianists,
36 other soloists, 15 performers of chamber music, 4
conductors, 6 actors, Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra
and the National Opera Choir from Warsaw. Apart from
the outstanding artists with the international fame (such as Zsuzsa
Elekes, István Lantos, Victor Merzhanov,
Karol Radziwonowicz, Janusz Olejniczak), about 200 young
artists, including about 150 Poles, performed at the concerts.
Being accompanied by 12 lecturers and 3 interpreters,
they performed around twelve hundred pieces of about
a hundred composers ranging from Baroque to the contemporary
music (including about a hundred compositions of F.
Liszt, over 80 ones of F. Chopin and almost 40 pieces
of I.J. Paderewski), playing in 65 concert halls (48
of them in Poland, the rest abroad - in Budapest,
Györ,
Moscow and St Petersburg). Since December 1989, we have
been carrying into effect a series of monthly "Liszt
Evenings" always accompanied by a specially chosen and
prepared foreword, and since November 1992 - concerts
for disabled people (over 110 of them held so far).

Andrzej Tatarski studied piano with Olga Dabrowska at the Music Academy in Poznan, winning a diploma with distinction. In 1969-70 he perfected his skills under the guidance of Vlado Perlemuter in Paris.
For many years he has been combining academic career at his home academy with intensive activity as a soloist and in chamber music. Foreign tours have taken him to the United States, Japan, South Korea, Jamaica, Cuba, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Austra, Belgium, Slovenia, Switzerland and the former Soviet Union.
He has performed at such prestigious festivals as the Poznan “Musical Spring”, the Festival of Polish Piano Music in Slupsk, the “Warsaw Autumn”, The Days of Kraków Composers, “Wratislavia Cantans”, and the Festival of Polish Contemporary Music in Wroclaw. He has given Chopin recitals at the composer’s birthplace in Zelazowa Wola and performed recitals of Szymanowski’s music in Poland and abroad.
A prominent place in Andrzej Tatarski`s extensive and diverse solo and chamber repertoire is occupied by works by 19th and 20th-century Polish composers as well as by French music. He is the first Polish pianist to have performed Olivier Messiaen’s cycle “Catalogue d`oiseaux”. He has given many first performances of pieces by contemporary Polish composers.
Andrzej Tatarski has made numerous recordings for Polish and foreign radio stations, for film and television as well as on various labels. He has made the first ever recording of piano works by Henryk and Józef Wieniawski, Raul Koczalski and Ignacy Fredmann (for Selene) and Karol Szymanowski (for Dux).
He has made recordings with such prominent Polish musicians as Bartosz Bryla, Michal Grabarczyk, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Joanna Domanska, Joanna Kozlowska, Stefania Toczyska, Bartlomiej Niziol, Piotr Plawner and “Wieniawski” Quartet, as well as the Japanese violinist Asa Konishi.
He has sat on the juries of many national and international piano and chamber music competitions, and given master classes. Andrzej Tatarski teaches piano at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan. A many-years’ member of the F. Liszt Society in Poland.

Monika Sikorska-Wojtacha graduated from Karol Szymanowski academy of Musik in Katowice, when she a student of prof. Boleslaw
Woytowicz. She won p[rizes at the piano competitions in
Poland. She is an active performer, gives recitals, symphonic and chamber concerts in Poland and abroad
(including the Czech Republic, France, Hungary,
Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Japan).
She has made numerous radio and TV recording, including archival radio
recordings. She participated in recording a CD with piano music by B. Woytowicz for the same
label.
Her repertoire is comprised of piano pieces ranging from harpsichord music to
avant-garde, aspecially modern Polish music (numerous original performances including Pianoi sonata No. 1 by P.
Radko, Piano Sonata No. 1 by A. Hundziak, Concertino for Piano and String Orchestra by J. W.
Havel).
She plays oratory and cantata music for p[iano and instrumentals groups (including Petit messe Solenne by G.
Rossini, Ziguenerlieder and Liebeslieder by J. Brahms).She cooperates with many musicians and chamber groups
(including the Silesian Quartet). Since 1990 swhe has beem performing in piano duet with Joanna
Domanska.
Besides, since 1st September 2002 she has worked as Plenipotentiary for Post-graduate Studies and since 1. September 2005 she has held the Piano Chair at the Academy of Musik in Katowice.

Stanislav Soloviev Born in 1979 in Leningrad (St Petersburg),
Russia. Graduated from the State Conservatoire in
St Petersburg in 2003, where he studied under Prof.
Alexander Sandler. Laureate of many piano competitions.
Won, among others, 1st prize at the National Competition
of Chamber Music in Moscow, Russia, in 1994; 1st prize
at the International Competition of Piano Duos in
St Petersburg in 1995; 3rd prize at the "Concertino-Praha"
International Competition in Prague, Czech Republic,
in 1995; 1st prize at the Jozeps Vitols International
Piano Competition in Riga, Latvia, in 2002. In 2005 Soloviev won
decidedly the 3rd F. Liszt International Piano Competition
in Wroclaw. Gives
concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestras.
Performed in Russia, the Netherlands, Latvia, Germany,
Poland, Sweden, Austria and Serbia. Recorded two albums.

Pianist, born in 1980, is one of the most outstanding young artists in Poland He has graduated with distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in piano class of Prof. Zbigniew Raubo in 2003. He continued his studies with Prof. Lee Kum-Sing in the Vancouver Academy of Music, Canada. During masterclasses he worked with Andrei Jasinski, Andree Laplante, Victor Mershanov, Jean Micault and Alexey Orlovetzky.
His numerous achievements include:
- The 3rd prize, Arthur Rubinstein Prize founded by Aniela Rubinstein and a special prize of the Kościuszko Foundation in New York at The 2nd International Competition for Young Pianists "Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam" in Bydgoszcz, Poland (1996),
- The laureate of the 30th Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, Poland (1996),
- The 1st prize and the prize for the best performance of a concerto at The 4th F. Liszt National Piano Competition in Wrocław, Poland (1997),
- The 3rd prize at The 7th F. Liszt International Piano Competition "Premio Mario Zanfi" in Parma, Italy (2000),
- The semi-finalist of The 53rd F. Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy (2001),
- The finalist and the best Polish participant of The 2nd F. Liszt International Piano Competition in Wrocław, Poland (2002),
- The 2nd prize at The Young Musicians` Festival in Gdansk, Poland (2002),
- The finalist of The 9th International Piano Competition "Citta di Pinerolo", Italy (2003),

He was given scholarships granted by the foundations and Polish institutions and prizes awarded by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture of The Republic of Poland. In 2004 he received a Kay Meek Scholarship awarded for the most outstanding student of the Vancouver Academy of Music .
Wojciech Waleczek was awarded by the presidents of Katowice and Gliwice as well as by the Regional Council of the Silesian Province.
He has performed as a soloist with the orchestras of the following philharmonics: Kalisz, Lublin, Opole, Pomeranian, Rzeszow, Szczecin, Kielce, Wroclaw, Zabrze, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot, Capella Bydgostiensis. He co-operated with many conductors, including G. Chmura, I. Hobson, Chang Joon-Gun, M. Sugar, M. Gawroński, Cz. Grabowski, M. Pijarowski, W. Rajski, Z. Rychert, J. Salwarowski, M. Smolij, M. Wolniewski, J. M. Zarzycki, S. Chrzanowski, M.J. Blaszczyk.
Wojciech Waleczek gives a lot of concerts in Poland and abroad. He performed in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Canada, France, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania and in the United States of America receiving new invitations. His play is admired both by critics and the public.
In 1999 he was invited to take part in the international conference "Liszt 2000" in Budapest.
He made a number of radio and television recordings.
There are several piano concertos in his repertoire, over a hundred of solo compositions as well as chamber pieces ranging from the Baroque up to the contemporary
music.

Juliusz Adamowski - pianist, educator and lecturer,
actively engaged in various musical activities. He
studied the piano in the class of professor Wlodzimierz
Obidowicz at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw. For
forty-two years, he combined his multi-oriented teaching
activities at the Wroclaw Academy of Music (till 2002)
with his 50-year artistic career in the field of popularisation
of music. He is the author of the manual on teaching
piano playing ‘a vista’ (without preparation).
The author and co-performer of around 3000 concerts
popularising music in theme cycles for both teenagers
and adults (also few hundreds of music and word concerts).
Performed nearly a hundred piano recitals and more
than a hundred half-recitals. Made a dozen or so radio
and TV recordings. In 1989, J. Adamowski initiated
the idea of creation, co-organised, and became the
first president of the F. Liszt Society in Poland.
Organised several nationwide and international master
courses and competitions for pianists. He was also
a juror of both Internatonal F. Liszt Piano Competitions
in Wroclaw. For his activity, he has received high
national distinctions and the Music Award of Wroclaw
for the year 2001.
Jan Blecki - actor, teacher, director, scriptwriter.
After graduating from the State Higher Theater School
in Krakow in 1975 started to work for theaters in
Wroclaw (Wspólczesny, Wedrujacy, Polski). At
the turn of the 70's and 80's, he was an author, co-author
and co-performer of numerous word and music programmes
of highly patriotic character. Made a number of radio
and TV recordings. He has rich theater experience (many stage
roles) and pedagogic experience with young
people (State Higher Theater School, Youth Culture
Centers, etc.). He also runs "Rotunda Swietego
Franciszka" Theater in Wroclaw.

Alexei Orlovetsky (Russia) - prize-winner
of international piano competitions, a graduate (1984)
and a lecturer at the St. Petersburg Conservatory
(till 1996). He studied the piano under Grigorij Sokolov,
and then became his assistant. He also studied composition
and opera and symphonic conducting (under Y. Falik
and A. Mussin). In 1989 he got the second prize in
the 2nd International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht,
Holland, and in 1990 - the first prize in the 7th
International Iturbi Piano Competition in Valencia,
Spain. He is both a teacher and a performer. His rich
repertoire includes pieces from baroque to modern
times, but his favourite compositions are those by
Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmaninov. In 1991,
in Holland, he recorded two CDs with Liszt’s
compositions performed on the Erard piano from Liszt’s
times. Apart from the concerts in his country, he
has performed several times in Spain, Holland, Yugoslavia,
Germany, and many times in Poland. He has held 18
nationwide piano courses organized in Poland by Ferenc
Liszt Society, and has held piano classes during all
ten International Master Courses for Pianists in Wroclaw
from 1993 to 2006. He has also been in jury panels
of all piano competitions organised by our society
so far.

Prizewinner of numerous domestic and international piano competitions. Won, among
others, International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in
Rome, in the age group up to 20 (2003),
2nd International Piano Competition "Chopin" in memory of the Hungarian pianist Gyorgy Frenczy
(Budapest, 26.06. - 02.07.2006 ) and Polish national piano
competitions. Awarded with scholarships of the President of the
Ministers' Council (2001) and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2000, 2002 i 2004). Received the Prize of the Mayor of the City of Krakow (2002) and the Educational Prize of the City of Krakow (2004).

Tomasz Kamieniak, pianist, composer, teacher. Completed piano studies at the "K. Szymanowski" Academy of Music in Katowice. Leads lively activity as both pianist and composer in Poland and abroad. His repertoire includes works ranging from baroque to contemporary music with special interest in the 19th-century music.
In 2003 at the 4th F. Liszt International Piano Competition in Weimar, he was awarded the special prize for "the most gifted participant from the East Europe".

Lukasz Jungowski - pianist; born in 1978; continues his post-graduate studies at the K. Lipinski Music Academy in Wroclaw under adjunct professor Zbigniew Faryniarz. Participated in numerous domestic and international master piano courses where he mastered his skills under Prof. Victor Merzhanov (Moscow), Alexei Orlovetsky (St Petersburg) and others.
He performs in Poland and abroad as a soloist of recitals and symphonic concerts, as well as a chamber musician. "The young pianist has found a perfect combination of power and tenderness in this lyrical, but deeply passionate piece," wrote the German newspaper Schwabische Zeitung about his interpretation of L. v. Beethoven's Concerto C minor at the International Meeting of Young Musicians in Wangen. Lukasz Jungowski is also a laureate of the 35th Dias of Young Festival of Polish Piano Playing in Slupsk, Poland.

Sofya Gulyak - a laureate of fourteen international piano competitions, was born on the 29th of December 1979 in Kazan (Russia). She began to study in the music school in 1985. From 1990 till 1998 studied in the Special music school under Kazan State Conservatoire (class of Nailya Khakimova). During 2003-2005 took a post-graduate course in the Kazan State Conservatoire under professor Alfya Burnasheva. From 1998 till 2003 studied in the Kazan State Conservatoire under professor Alfya Burnasheva. During 2004-5 studied in “Ecole Normale de music de Paris Alfred Cortot” under professor Marian Rybicki where she got “Diplome Superieur d`Execution ” and during 2005-6 she got there “Diplome Superieur de Concertiste”. Took part in the Master-classes of Dmitry Bashkirov, Lev Naumov, Paul Badura-Scoda.
In 2001 she won 2nd prize in the Artlivre International piano competition, devoted to Chopin and Liszt, in Brazil (Sao Paulo), in 2002- 2nd prize in the International Liszt Competition in Poland (Wroclaw).
In 2003 got 3rd prize and two special prizes in the International Pozzoli`s Competition in Italy (Seregno), 2nd prize in the International Piano Competition in Great Britain (Newport), in 2004-1st prize and special prize in the 1st International Piano Competition “Repubblicca di San Marino” (San Marino), in 2005 - 3rd prize in the International competition in Morocco, 3rd prize in the Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition (Los-Angeles, USA), 2nd prize in the International Piano Competition “Valsesia-musica” (Varallo, Italy), 4th prize in the International “Grand Prix Animato” Competition in Paris, 3rd prize in the International Competition “Pausilypon” in Naples (Italy). In 2006 she was 4th prize-winner of Takamatsu International Piano Competition in Japan, also won 1st prize in the International Piano Competition in Rhodes (Greece) and 1st prize in the International Thalberg Compeition in Naples.
In 2000-1 and 2002-3 she was a scholar of Russian Ministry of Culture, in 2002-3 – scholar of Mstislav Rostropovich`s Foundation, in 2004-5 – scholar of Russian Federation President Foundation.
She has radio recordings in the Russian radio (Tatarstan, Astrakhan), Polish radio, TV recordings in the Tatarstan TV companies, Globo TV(Brazil), San Marino TV. She has CD-recording with Kazan Chamber Orchestra “La Primavera”(Yakhin. Piano concerto).
While studying she also took part in the concerts in Russia, Poland, France, Morocco, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal.

Russia. Graduated from the State Conservatoire in
St Petersburg in 2003, where he studied under Prof.
Alexander Sandler. Laureate of many piano competitions.
Won, among others, 1st prize at the National Competition
of Chamber Music in Moscow, Russia, in 1994; 1st prize
at the International Competition of Piano Duos in
St Petersburg in 1995; 3rd prize at the "Concertino-Praha"
International Competition in Prague, Czech Republic,
in 1995; 1st prize at the Jozeps Vitols International
Piano Competition in Riga, Latvia, in 2002. In 2005 Soloviev won
decidedly the 3rd F. Liszt International Piano Competition

Soya
Zhuravleva - soprano, completed her vocal
studies under Halina Arsentiewowa in 1999 at the Rimsky-Korsakov
Conservatory in St Petersburg, Russia. Her artistic
activity began in 1990 and includes significant number
of solo performances in concerts and opera spectacles
as well as recordings. Her rich repertoire covers
wide stylistic and formal range from classical music
to contemporary pieces. She is also engaged in painting
and drawing, and her vocal recitals are often accompanied
by exhibition of her artistic works. In 2005 she won
2nd prize at an international vocal competition in
Ukraine. She has been cooperating with Alexei Makhlaevsky
since 1998.
Alexei Makhlaevsky - assistant professor
at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St Petersburg,
Russia. He began his artistic and educational activity
in 1973 following the graduation from this renown
piano studies under Pawel Serebriakow and Jekatierina
Mirina. His current concert activity is dominated
by chamber music. He performed in Poland many times
(in 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003). For
many years he has been supervising foreign cooperation
at the Conservatory in St Petersburg.

In the own words of Ronald Turini,
disciple of Vladimir Horowitz:
"I have heard Mr. Gallardo in one
of his concerts in Canada, and his performance was
just brilliant, very exciting and full of deepest
musical sense."
In 1997 he began the live recording of the Complete
Works of Franz Liszt for the SLKE Live Recording
Series.
In 1999, music institutions of Hungary and Poland
in Budapest invited Mr. Gallardo to be part of the
international jury of the prestigious Chopin Piano
Competition; a jury that he shared with members
such as Josef Stompel and Andrzej Jasenski (Poland),
Istvan Lántos and Jeno Jando (Hungary).
During the 2001 season, Mr. Gallardo was invited
to the International Music Festival of Georgetown
(Ontario, Canada), where he received praising comments
from both the audience and the critics for his "brilliant
and poetic" interpretations. He made his début with
the Georgetown Festival Orchestra performing J.S.
Bach''s Double Piano Concerto BWV 1064, a true success
according to the audience and the critics. This
concert was recorded live for the SLKE Live Recording
Series Collection.
In 2002 Mr. Gallardo is invited to the Advent Concert
Series at Grassalkovich Palace performing Mozart
Piano Concerto for two pianos in E b Major with
the renowed The Solti Chamber Orchestra, and in
2003, he made his debut in the United States of
America, Japan and Slovakia. Starting the new season
his projects include concerts in Spain, Germany,
Italy, Hungary, Poland, Swizerland and USA as soloist
with the Solti Chamber Orchestra and performing
Liszt and Spanish piano recitals. Mr. Gallardo is
preparing two CD recordings with works for piano
by Franz Liszt and Spanish composers, Manuel de
Falla and Enrique Granados, as well as a live recording
of Manuel de Falla''s concerto for piano and orchestra
"Nights in the Gardens of Spain."
Born in Spain, Mr. Gallardo studied at the Music
Academy of Budapest (Hungary) and at the Royal Conservatory
of Music of Madrid (Spain). His main teachers were
Kálman Dráfi, Joseph Colom, Carmen Deleito, Lazar
Berman, Ronald Turini, Robin McCabe, Jean Paul Sevilla,
Dimitri Bashkirov, Boris Zarankin and Robin Wood.
After completing his violin studies in Spain and
his piano studies in Hungary, Mr. Gallardo was awarded
scholarships to study abroad by the following insititutions:
the Spanish Government, the Hungarian Government,
the government of the former Soviet Union, the Swaningan
Foundation of Canada, and the University of Valladolid,
as well as the Isaac Albéniz Foundation and the
Culture Foundation of the Valladolid Councill.
The success of his performances have led to being
awarded First Prizes in national and international
competitions, such as the IV Gregorio Baudot Competition,
the Artist L''Salle Competition and the Medal of
the University of Valladolid for his artistic career.
Mr. Gallardo has continued his education at the
JISA (Canada), the Universities of Valladolid, Salamanca
and Alcalá de Henares (Spain), the MTA Zenetudomanyi
Intézet and the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest
(Hungary), which has brought him in contact with
scholars and conductors such as Zoltán Fálvy adn
Lukas Ervin.
Parallel to his activity as a pianist, Mr. Gallardo
has devoted himself to multimedia programming and
music computing. He has been awarded the Golden
Web Awards (Florida, U.S.A.; 2001-2002), the Canada
Graphics Awards (Ontario, Canada; 2000-2001), and
the Melvin Awards (Oregon, U.S.A.; 1999). In 1999
he was finalist at the 5th Möbius Multimedia Awards
(Barcelona, Spain).
In his task as a scholar and collaborator for several
journals, Mr. Gallardo has written over thirty essays
on music pedagogy and etnomusicology, on Franz Liszt
and Zoltán Kodály. Much of his written work has
been published by Rugginenti Editore e Istituto
Liszt of Italy, Castilla Publishing, Inc., and the
Universtiy of Valladolid (Spain). Apart from being
published, they have also been diffused in lectures,
such as during the VII International Music and Dance
Festival of Úbeda (Spain).
As a composer, Mr. Gallardo is the author of more
than 78 works for orchestra, for chamber ensemble,
and for piano. Special mention among them deserve
those dedicated to her Majesty the Queen of Spain
and His Holiness Pope John Paul II. Most of his
works have been premiered in Spain, Hungary, Canada,
U.S.A. and Japan.

The concerts is organized by the F. Liszt
Society in Poland With the financial help of

Alexei Orlovetsky (Russia) - prize-winner
of international piano competitions, a graduate (1984)
and a lecturer at the St. Petersburg Conservatory
(till 1996). He studied the piano under Grigorij Sokolov,
and then became his assistant. He also studied composition
and opera and symphonic conducting (under Y. Falik
and A. Mussin). In 1989 he got the second prize in
the 2nd International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht,
Holland, and in 1990 - the first prize in the 7th
International Iturbi Piano Competition in Valencia,
Spain. He is both a teacher and a performer. His rich
repertoire includes pieces from baroque to modern
times, but his favourite compositions are those by
Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmaninov. In 1991,
in Holland, he recorded two CDs with Liszt’s
compositions performed on the Erard piano from Liszt’s
times. Apart from the concerts in his country, he
has performed several times in Spain, Holland, Yugoslavia,
Germany, and many times in Poland. He has held 18
nationwide piano courses organized in Poland by Ferenc
Liszt Society, and has held piano classes during all
ten International Master Courses for Pianists in Wroclaw
from 1993 to 2005. He has also been in jury panels
of all piano competitions organised by our society
so far.

Gracjan Szymczak
was born in 1986 in Wroclaw.
He started his piano education at the age of 7 in
the Music School Complex in Walbrzych. In 2004 he
completed the State Secondary School of Music in Wroclaw
in the class of Michał Szczepański. Currently, a second-year
student at the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw
in the piano class of Prof. Grzegorz Kurzyński and
simultaneously in the cello class of Prof. Lidia Grzanka-Urbaniak.
Participated in numerous international piano master
courses in Poland (e.g. in Olsztyn, Duszniki Zdrój,
Krzyżowa) and in Scotland.
Won a number of top prizes in nationwide piano competitions.
In October 2005, he was a semi-finalist of the 15th
International F. Chopin Competition in Warsaw, awarded
with non-statutory “Janina Nawrocka” prize for a musically
outstanding pianist. Won prizes and distinctions at
several nationwide music festivals, e.g. “Tydzień
Talentów 2005” [A Week of Talents 2005] in Tarnów,
and “Chopin Interpretations of the Young 2005” in
Konin.
Four times granted scholarship of the Minister of
Culture (1998, 1999, 2000, 2002), scholarship of the
Wroclaw Municipality (2001-2004) and of the National
Fund for Children (2001-2003). Performed in many towns
and cities of Poland (many time in the Royal Palace
in Warsaw), in Germany and Scotland.
